We were approached by one of our regular agency partners with a fast turnaround brief for Magnum. The client required a set of eye catching table centrepieces for an overseas event. The concept was a series of small melting ice creams, each standing around 30 cm tall, designed to match Magnum’s premium aesthetic while adding a playful touch to the venue. The requirement was to create eight identical display pieces that showcased a melting ice cream effect, were visually striking, and robust enough for international transport. The pieces also needed integrated graphics to support the brand look and feel.
Nexform handled full development and production in house. We used multi colour 3D printing to achieve the detailed melted form and smooth surface transitions that the design demanded. Plant based materials were selected throughout, including a wood based filament for the ice cream stick and a polylactic acid blend for the main body. This approach provided both the desired finish and a more sustainable material profile. Alongside the structural build, we produced the graphics for the models, ensuring colour accuracy and clean integration with the printed parts.
All eight units were produced within a tight schedule and delivered in time for the client to ship internationally. The final pieces provided the event team with unique, branded decor that elevated the presentation space and helped reinforce the premium feel associated with Magnum. The project demonstrated our ability to combine fast production, multi material design and high impact visuals for experiential events.
