Can printed parts go on a food production line?

Not in direct food contact, and we would rather say that plainly than sell you something unsuitable. Guards, jigs, guides and non-contact handling parts are fine. For anything touching product, we supply the CAD so the part can be machined in an approved material instead.

The part is worn. Do you copy it as it is?

No. We rebuild the intended geometry, using the unworn faces and the mating component to work out where the original surfaces were. Copying wear just gives you a part that starts life halfway through its service. Where the wear pattern tells us something useful, we will point it out.

Can you supply drawings as well as parts?

Yes. A dimensioned drawing alongside the CAD is standard on request, which matters if your maintenance team specifies parts internally or you want a second supplier to be able to quote. STEP plus a native file covers most systems your engineers will be running.

How many can you make, and how fast?

Ones and tens are normal, hundreds are fine, and there is no minimum order quantity. Once the file exists, a repeat run is mostly machine time. Give us your planned stop date and we will work back from it rather than quoting you a vague window.

Do you need to visit Trafford Park?

Usually not. Most jobs work perfectly well with the part posted down to Essex. A visit makes sense when several components need capturing at once, or when something cannot come off the machine, and then it is worth doing properly in one trip.

Do you handle assemblies, or only single parts?

Assemblies are fine. We scan the components individually, rebuild them in CAD and check they fit together as a set before anything is made. That matters when a worn part has let its neighbours wear too, because replacing one and ignoring the other just moves the failure along.
