The machine is metric and unfamiliar. Is that a problem?

No. We measure what is there rather than assuming a standard, then identify the nearest common thread, bearing or seal size and call it out on the drawing. Where a fastener or fit turns out to be non-standard, we say so, because that is the detail that catches a UK shop out.

Can you work without the manual?

Yes, and most of these jobs arrive without one. The component carries the information we need. A manual helps where it shows how a part sits in an assembly, so send it if you have it, even a poor photocopy in another language.

Will a locally made part be as good?

Usually better, because the material and finish get specified deliberately rather than inherited. Where the original failed early, the rebuild is the chance to correct it. We will point out what looks marginal and leave the decision on any change with you.

Can you reverse engineer wear parts we buy repeatedly?

Those are the best candidates. Anything ordered several times a year pays back quickly once the geometry is yours, because the second and third orders are a purchase rather than an import. Tell us the annual spend and we will say whether it is worth doing.

How long does it take?

Three to five working days for a single component from the point it reaches us. Assemblies take one to two weeks depending on part count. If a machine is down, say so at the enquiry and we will sequence the critical piece first rather than working through in order.

Do we own the drawings afterwards?

Yes, outright. Native CAD, STEP and a dimensioned drawing, with no licence and no restriction on who manufactures from them. You can put the same pack out to three suppliers, and nothing in it requires you to come back to us.
